Life is beautiful. In sorrow there is beauty and in beauty there is joy.

Babies are here! Estelle Jade arrived June 30, 2021 at 5:56 pm weighing 7 lbs 15 oz. Jade Elizabeth was born at 6:02pm just under 2 lbs. Our delivery was so beautiful and peaceful. It was truly a celebration of both girls: welcoming one to our beautiful family and saying goodbye to our other perfect girl. We are so thankful for our surrogate, Heidi, and wouldn’t have wanted to do this with anyone else.
Estelle means ‘crown’ in the Bible and is the French form of the Persian name Esther. She will wear her sisters jewel on her crown.
Jade means a precious jewel and Jewel is also Heidis (our surrogate with both Faith and the twins) middle name.
Elizabeth is my middle name as I wanted her to have a piece of me, and after my grandma.
Estelle was in the NICU for three days to monitor her heart. Things are the same as two weeks ago - an improvement from extreme/severe valve regurgitation to mild and mild/moderate. We will continue to monitor her closely. Otherwise she is doing awesome! We are so blessed.
I never thought I’d have identical twin girls - it was a dream come true. I know things didn’t come as planned but I feel so blessed to have been able to watch them interact together for 30 weeks and hold them, and love them, and admire the identical features. I was given a little note that I really cherish: Even though I couldn’t stay, I’ll still be with you everyday. Your sister and I’ll always be, for I am you and you are me.
Thanks for all the messages, love, prayers and support.
