Hi all!
First off - Happy International Women's Day! I have been surrounded by so many incredible woman in my life who have shaped who I am today. They have taught me to me be woman of God, to be strong, never let go of my dreams, to persevere when times are tough, to love and respect, to be kind to those around me, to build relationships, and so much more! So make sure to thank those special ladies in your life! Considering it was International Women's Day, I was lucky to spend my morning with Heidi <3
As I mentioned in my last blog post, I started my ultrasounds this week! I was a bit nervous going into it all as I knew that last round was really tough and a let down. But things are looking up and under control this time! Wahoo
I had my first ultrasound on Tuesday, March 6, and everything looked pretty good. I have 19 follicles in my left ovary and 3 in my right; last time I had 38 in total so this is a lot better! My estrogen was at 708, which is on the low side. Crazy considering last time I have on the verge of hyperstimulating! My follicles were measuring around 0.8mm so they upped my Gonal F to 200 to help increase growth and added in centrotide to help stop ovulation. Luveris stays at 75 and we wait…
Today, Thursday, March 8, I had another ultrasound with Heidi! She has an A++++ uterus lining… how is she so good at everything she does!? Seriously though. Haha. My follicle count remained the same, and my follicles were measuring around 1 and 1.1. They said they are slow and steady… whatever that means? Last time at this stage I was measuring at 0.8 and 0.9 so I’m definitely doing better! My estrogen is at 2,405, which is good because last time it was at almost 6,000. I’m feeling really excited and hopeful as my medications haven’t changed and are stable. I’ve been feeling really good so far – have been able to work out without discomfort and continue my normal routines.
After our appointments today, Heidi and I (and Everett) went for eggs benny! YUM…. I think Everett ate more than both of us… just saying! That boy can eat! Everyday I feel completely blessed and grateful to have Heidi in my life. I know I have said this before but I will say it again – she is one of the most selfless people I know. She is so giving of others and has such an incredibly large heart. Even Everett can’t help but give her smiles and giggles!
I go back to the clinic on Saturday to see how things are progressing. Stay tuned!
