Faith Maria Toews was born December 3, 2018 at 10:23pm. She’s a beautiful healthy girl weighting 10lb 4oz and 21.5 inches. YES!!! You heard that right...

A special thanks to our surrogate, Heidi, who has the biggest heart. She is one of the strongest and most amazing women that I know. Thank you for helping us expand our family - we love you!

Our delivery has it stressful moments! I won't go into all the details but Faith ended up getting stuck and had the OB had to do manoeuvres to get her out. When she came out, the immediate called Code Red and I started freaking out! She didn't cry for what seemed like minutes to me! But in reality was probably just over half a minute. Then she let out a loud cry, thank you Jesus!

I cut the umbilical cord and was immediately given Faith to do some skin-to-skin. You know what the most beautiful part was! Faith opened up her eyes right away and stared into mine. It's like she knew... 'I finally get to meet my mom'.

This is truly the most incredible gift. I can’t even begin to explain the love and feelings we have right now. So thankful!
